Its been mentioned before but I thought I would mention it again I just started to give the unit a bit of a clean prior to Ems inspection next week. I used saBesto type 32 industrial strength cleaner available from E bay. The results are amazing with the lightest of pressure However you must remove it while it is still wet .

Its great Lucy and not to expensive. better if the two of you do it one apply and the other polish off straight away. Obviously being a solvent use well ventilated space.
Works on the metal as well. Its for cleaning double glazed units and removing solvents from the frames

Had a search on ebay for this but not able to find   Have you got a direct link to the seller?

Just checked postage is expensive and the solvent has gone up in price. Still at least it opened up the forum on cleaners again. I know you can get solvent type cleaners and cream types for PVC just make sure if its a solvent type it dries very quickly or it may damage the PVC

I try to avoid solvents as such.
I know Cif as recommended by Ian Smith is hard work but it works for me also Mur.

What I hope to do at the May meet, is put 4 products side by side. 2 solvents, regular Jif/Cream, and a car sort of polish.

Do an area with each, time how long, how much effort, how much £ and what the final finish is like, then post up the info for all

I have used cream cleaners, and yes they do work, but messy and a lot of hard going

Ian at Riva does sell a "miracle" cleaner, which is a solvent, but at £20.00 a bottle

I needed something to clean the transit cover with minimum effort and I must say his stuff is fantastic. Kets not forget that creams contain abrasive particles. You can feel them if you put some on your finger and rub them together. Too much use will score the material and this will make it harder to remove any serious stains

We have the dark blue destiny, and I found that CIF cream has scratched the colour on the sark blue.  It brought the white roof up brilliantly, but I certainly wont be using it on the blue again.  I used a couple of cans of silicone to coat the whole lot, and that his the scratches quite a lot.

CIF is an abrasive cleaner. Abrasives work by scratching a surface to clean it if you rub it between your finger and thumb you can feel the abrasive particles
